Most of the planet is uninhabitable, thanks to the deadly wildlife and extremely long winters. The areas that are inhabitable only see sunlight that reflects off of Elpis, Pandora's moon.

You seem to have opened he floodgates. ] The planet actually has quite an interesting history, attracting explorers, hunters, and archaeologists in equal measure thanks to its ties to an ancient alien race called Eridians. Corporations moved in to mine the place as well, but because of the danger, they employed convicts to go down to the planet's surface. When the mining dried up, the corporations withdrew, leaving their workers behind, populating the planet with bandits and psychopaths.

It's not a place for the faint of heart, but I consider it home.
