[ Early in the morning, whoever is awake will hear a very panicked Newt over the network. ]

[ He sounds out of breath, and despite trying to speak in a hushed whisper, he's sort of loud due to his panic. Guess who has two thumbs and 100% wants to be inside the walls. ]

Shuck only walking! It bloody climbed a tree tryin' to get at me!

[ A tree he'd climbed and then promptly abandoned when the thing climbed it to get to him, jumping down did his leg no favours nor did trying to run as fast as he could, not that he was going to complain about it like some shuck baby. ]

I'll take watch from the top of the gates. I may be able to make out where most of the movement around him will be.

[ There's a pause, before she adds: ]

You two aren't going to slow Daryl down, are you?

[ She knows he can fight. Everyone else? Not so much. ]
