[ Early in the morning, whoever is awake will hear a very panicked Newt over the network. ]

They buggin' run! THEY RUN.

[ He sounds out of breath, and despite trying to speak in a hushed whisper, he's sort of loud due to his panic. Guess who has two thumbs and 100% wants to be inside the walls. ]

Shuck only walking! It bloody climbed a tree tryin' to get at me!

[ A tree he'd climbed and then promptly abandoned when the thing climbed it to get to him, jumping down did his leg no favours nor did trying to run as fast as he could, not that he was going to complain about it like some shuck baby. ]

[ It takes him a moment to process that Tommy is shouting at him to find his chill, before he's shoved to the side. Newt rolls on his back with an "oof" noise, still somewhat tangled Thomas and now another creature. They're a mess of limbs, with a gross dead??? Dying??? thing on top of both of them (mostly Thomas though). Following along with everything is kind of hard when your best friend is shoving you to the side to get you out of the way.

He doesn't wait for the thing to try again, moving to roughly shove it off of Thomas. Newt wastes very little time getting to his feet, a small wince at the weight put on his twisted ankle. This was like the Scorch all over again. ]

Come on! Come on! [ No point in being quiet now, it's not like they weren't making a ridiculous amount of noise. Newt's hands drop the rock an instead go to grab at Thomas's arm and grabbing his hand to yank him up. ] There were more! [ Why were there so many people trying to save him? Thomas, he expected, probably. Daryl and Alex muscled their way into trying to bring him back alive. He hadn't asked for the help, not that he wasn't thankful.

He knew Thomas had made some kind of deal with Daryl, so he could understand Daryl attempting to help him, but leaving out into the forest to find him? It was a bloody stupid move, on all three of the other males. ]
