[ Early in the morning, whoever is awake will hear a very panicked Newt over the network. ]

They buggin' run! THEY RUN.

[ He sounds out of breath, and despite trying to speak in a hushed whisper, he's sort of loud due to his panic. Guess who has two thumbs and 100% wants to be inside the walls. ]

Shuck only walking! It bloody climbed a tree tryin' to get at me!

[ A tree he'd climbed and then promptly abandoned when the thing climbed it to get to him, jumping down did his leg no favours nor did trying to run as fast as he could, not that he was going to complain about it like some shuck baby. ]

[ He doesn't necessarily answer straight away, everyone else is talking. Newt has sort of grown on him, sharing a home will do that. ]

Jimmy. [ It's a bit breathless, but he sound happy to hear from him at least. ]

I didn't bloody think a whacker Crank was going to chase me into the forest. They're supposed to be slow.

[ Is he safe? ]

No.

I can come and fight them for you, if you need assistance. They can't hurt me.

[ So guess who is still living under the assumption that he can't get infected...

At least he sounds confident, right? ]

[ His voice is rough and unwavering. ]

Stay inside, stay safe.

[ He may have it in his head that they can't hurt him, but he has a feeling not all of Jimmy's cogs are there. ]

My safety isn't important.

[ But he can hear that people are going out to look for him, so he decides that what would be best is keeping him talking instead. ]

What made you go out alone?

[limped]

Shuck that, shut your hole, shuck-face, your safety is important.

[ Don't be a moron Jimmy. ]

I was lookin' for plants.

[ He pants for a moment, audible over the feed. ]

Daryl said only the fresh ones could run, I didn't think I'd get chased.

[strangelic]

[ He's not going to address that, because of course he's not more important than Newt, don't be silly. ]

Still, you shouldn't have been looking for plants alone. All you can do when you're alone is run; there's no one to watch your back.

If you survive this, I'll help you. I know a thing or two about plants.

"If I survive this," aren't you bloody inspiring?

[ A weak chuckle escapes him. ]

Yeah, ya wanna be a farmer with me, Jimmy?

Inspiring? No, I'm being realistic. The forest is dangerous, it shouldn't be underestimated.

[ He's so charming, right? ]

I... [ But there's the hesitation. ] I've never considered tending the land. What are you going to grow?

[ No. ]

No? I think ya would be good at it, or a med-jack. But your bedside manner is shucky. Dunno, depends on what I can find. Food hopefully.

[ But he'd make a wonderful comedian. ]

Food would be more useful than flowers--to the survivors, at least.
