[ Early in the morning, whoever is awake will hear a very panicked Newt over the network. ]

They buggin' run! THEY RUN.

[ He sounds out of breath, and despite trying to speak in a hushed whisper, he's sort of loud due to his panic. Guess who has two thumbs and 100% wants to be inside the walls. ]

Shuck only walking! It bloody climbed a tree tryin' to get at me!

[ A tree he'd climbed and then promptly abandoned when the thing climbed it to get to him, jumping down did his leg no favours nor did trying to run as fast as he could, not that he was going to complain about it like some shuck baby. ]

[Glenn had been listening to the commotion, not having been able to answer quickly enough. Direction was easy enough to take, and he knew Daryl had it covered. Still, worry was already tangling through him.]

Glenn, warn me if you see any movement near the tree line we'll have to watch out for on the way back.

[The rest Daryl would leave to Glenn. He knew his shit. He'd cover them.]

[Bucky had also been listening, and hearing his name prompted him to interject. It also caused him to stop his movement to help Daryl in rescuing the mouthy Brit.]

Glenn, I'll meet you by the gate. Daryl, if you need help, I can be at your side in under a minute.

[Gimpy couldn't have gotten that far from the city and with tuning in to the sounds of a fight, he'll have something more to go on. Enhanced hearing and speed work wonders. Unfortunately, they also kick up his metabolism, but he'll deal with that bridge when he comes to it.]

[The words were muttered, but they sounded sincere. He was damn happy he'd found James on their first day. Man was proving to be a team player in all the ways necessary.]

[After he got the audio confirmation of Alex talking to Newt, Daryl very quietly switched his earpiece over to a private line to Glenn. Still keeping his voice barely audible, because he had walkers of his own to deal with, he murmured.]

Let me know when they make it to the gates. I'll come back then. Gonna try and lead some of this larger group off. Deeper into the woods. Don't need them building up around the gate like they were when we showed up.
