✧Communications #001✧
[After some extremely uncomfortable fighting with both her now shredded wedding gown and with the earbud for what she could only assume was a communicator, Leia's patience for all things regarding this day is shot. Very little about this situation makes her happy and when she speaks, it shows in her voice.]
Han? Luke? Threepio? Lando? Where are you? If this is some sort of sick joke of a honeymoon, I'm not laughing.
[After everything, today was supposed to be the happiest day of her life, and it had been until she'd woken up somehow in that pod. In the middle of a desert.]
I thought we'd agreed that we'd never return to Tatooine, even if it was the last planet in the galaxy? And what the kriff happened to my dress?

We got a Han here. Don't know if he's yours. But if you came down that close to the sand you got quite a hike ahead of you.
[And with the constant rain coming down, it wasn't going to be a pleasant one.]
Head toward the woods. We'll try to meet you at the edge.

All I can see is sand outside of this pod. And a sky that looks like it will kill anyone who sets outdoors.
[And she's still in an all-white dress, shredded and scorched or not.]
There is a forest? How far away is it?

[So far most people had figured out the earpieces quick enough so he'd been expecting a call. He hadn't expected her to announce she landed in the sand. The ships prior to hers had all landed inside the bounds of the forest. Their aim that good, as least, even if every one of them seemed to come down wrecked.]
Check under your seat. Should be a backpack with some supplies. See if it has a knife or a hammer in it.

After some shuffling around, she does find a pack. She pulls it out and carefully rifles through it.]
There's a knife and some water and I believe food. [Force, though, she wants a blaster though. Or an Ewok. Yeah, an Ewok would be nice.]

Yes, I can use a knife. I'd prefer a blaster pistol, but a knife is better than nothing.

[Daryl figured by the time he'd spent walking already he was half-way to her. about ten minutes from the edge of the forest maybe.]
You can stay where you are and they won't be able to get in. They'll try, but they ain't really smart enough. You should be safe inside. But then you'll be surrounded and it'll be harder for anyone comin' to get through them to you. Best bet is to get out and get moving. Probably be able to see the woods if you do, too.

In what direction would you suggest? I'm not exactly sure how accurate trying to navigate by the sun and shadows is on this planet.

[It still doesn't help her figure out which direction exactly to go. She heads out of the pod, knife in hand and looks around a bit.]
So, is there anything between this pod and the woods you're talking about that I should look out for besides these...'walkers'?
no subject
[Isn't this place just awesome?]
no subject
[She knows about the Tuskan Raiders on Tatooine and the krayt dragons. It's a lovely planet.]

[And, best part is that she's pretty sure there are no Siths here. It's already looking up in her opinion.]

Sorry, but it seems that my crash landing has decided that my wedding dress would be better in tatters. I'm trying to make sure it's actually usable for some cover once I leave this hunk of metal.
no subject
[Based on her answer, he was going to assume it meant she hadn't left the pod yet.]

Since I seriously doubt this is a blue milk run, I need to make sure that I can run without falling face first into the burning sand.
[Sure, it's no metal bikini, but they'd had the Falcon then.]

[Daryl finally made it to the edge of the woods and stopped to figure out how close he was or not to her.]
Hope your boots are in better shape than your clothes. Don't look like you got company yet.
no subject
When he mentions boots, she lets out a very disgruntled sigh. Silk slippers over sand, even silk from Hapen silk worms, weren't exactly ideal.]
I don't suppose you have boots back in this city of yours, do you?

[She draps the blanket from the pack over her shoulders and sets off fast walk in the general direction she thinks is northwest. At least she hopes it is.
The sand might be getting pelted by hail, but there is still a residual heat that seep through her thin slippers. She's only too pleased to see a tree line and she quickly limps towards it.]
Thank the Force! I could learn to hate this place thoroughly.
no subject
Her shoes really were crap.]
Don't worry, that'll definitely happen. You talked to your boy Han, right?
no subject
Thank you... I'm afraid I didn't catch your name. I'm Leia.
And, yes, I've talked to Han already.
no subject
[He nodded at her, bangs obscuring his face.]
You wanna wait here for him? Good as place as any.
[[OOC since leia is going back with Han, we could merge timelines here and Daryl will head back ahead of them, taking point?]]
