[After some extremely uncomfortable fighting with both her now shredded wedding gown and with the earbud for what she could only assume was a communicator, Leia's patience for all things regarding this day is shot. Very little about this situation makes her happy and when she speaks, it shows in her voice.]

Han? Luke? Threepio? Lando? Where are you? If this is some sort of sick joke of a honeymoon, I'm not laughing.

[After everything, today was supposed to be the happiest day of her life, and it had been until she'd woken up somehow in that pod. In the middle of a desert.]

I thought we'd agreed that we'd never return to Tatooine, even if it was the last planet in the galaxy? And what the kriff happened to my dress?

[Leia's actually heard a few stories about Naboo from her father and Pooja Naberrie, but she'd gladly hear a million more once she's sure who this other woman is.]

Well, his luck is particularly strong, so I'm glad to know that you found someone half-way reliable.

[She's a little taken aback that he'd mention her to a stranger. He's not that sloppy.]

It depends on who's asking. Although, I'm not sure there are many other princesses of his acquaintance. Unless he knew them before we met.

All of our luck has to be... all of us survived the landing. Not everyone on the ships was so fortunate. [ That is one thing she wants to take up with those who sent them here, if Han ever gets the communications to work -- why would they send all of them here in such a hazardous way, killing so many?

She puts away the thought when responding to the next, wry comment, her own tone matching that. ]

Somehow, that wouldn't surprise me.

[ Han does give that kind of vibe, doesn't he... ] My name is Padmé. [ Better to introduce herself first, before asking a stranger to give their name. She'd done it here before, and it had worked just fine. ] Padmé Amidala. I used to be a senator in the Galactic Senate.

How many? [Because if she's going to lodge complaints against whomever is responsible for this, she needs accurate numbers and fact at hand. Kidnapping people for some unknown reason and then sending them off to die? Yes, not exactly anything that Leia would condone.

At all. Ever.

You knew my parents then. I'm Leia Organa-Solo, Princess and Senator of Alderaan. I've seen your portrait hang in the entrance hall of the former emperor's palace on Coruscant.

[ She isn't sure whether Leia is asking about the number of those alive or those dead-- to be certain, she responds to both. ] There are maybe twenty of us stranded here. Dozens dead on every ship.

[ And just like Padmé's name is familiar to Leia, it applies the other way around as well-- though the effect it gives her is different. It wasn't that long ago she spoke to Finn about her children, the babies she left with Obi-Wan, the children who, in Finn's time, seemed to have grown up into something far better she'd ever imagined...

... but she says her last name- it's Organa. That means- ]

Bail and Breha's daughter? It's wonderful to... not meet you, yet, but to hear from you. [ Especially knowing Bail and Breha's troubles having a child... ]

[Leia lets out a breath that might be a smattering of curses she picked up from the X-Wing pilots during the Rebellion before she replies to Padmé's answer.] So many wasted lives. What in the hell is the point in that sort of disregard for human life? What do these...whomever is responsible for this hope to accomplish by forcing this sort of situation on strangers?!

[Yep, Leia is very proud of her parents, adopted or not. They were excellent people and she misses them every day.]

I am adopted, but they loved me and Winter as if we were their flesh and blood. I owe them so much. Their loss is something I feel very deeply over.
