All ya'll talking shit about how we all gotta work together 'cause we're stuck here together best listen the hell up. You want to work together? FINE. First you gotta to is tell the rest of us what hell you can do. No more fucking surprises like some seven foot leopard man!

The only way to pool our goddamn resources are if we know what the fuck they are! And if you can do shit like that, then it's a goddamn resource!

I don't care where the hell you picked to hole your asses up, but if you're gonna talk to me and everyone else about how we should kum-by-fucking-ya, then you best be offering up your skills so we can take full advantage of them.

And don't make runs outside the walls alone no more without telling someone where the hell you're gonna be so we know to keep an eye on you! Hell, I don't even go hunting without telling Glenn I'll be out! You got people to rely on so rely on them!

[He'd been doing most of his interactions with those two through Gamora. All grand total of what, three of them? Still, he saw Gamora as their leader. Figured she had the better head on her shoulders.]

[ He snorts, amused by the accent. After a second, he asks a touch soberly, ]

I'm guessin' at least part of this is about that kid who got chased up a tree? [ you know. to put it mildly. ] Kinda lost me on the leopard man thing.

[Daryl answered dryly. And yeah, he knew how that sounded.]

And yeah. Kind of. Not really mad at the kid.

[He also knew Newt could be listening in, and at that point didn't care.]

Just stupid to go without telling anyone where you're goin'. Stupid to have everyone telling me we're a group and then not actin' like we is. Groups know what they can do. You tell each other so they can use that. Don't need to know what you were in the time before, just need to know what you can do now. Ain't that hard to understand.

[Hell, it felt obvious at this point to him. Even if, in the beginning, it wasn't really. But he'd long forgotten that. Mostly because he'd been pretty upfront about what he could offer the Quarry group when he and Merle rolled in.]

[ If Peter were on camera, Daryl would be treated to a shrug. As it stands, Peter just makes a humming noise. ]
